I am Joey Kikke
When you think about it, we all are a lot of things!
I am a Christian, wife, daughter, sister, mom, grandma, great grandma, friend, and lots of other things and an artist.
It’s not that being an artist is last, but that it is totally incorporated in all that I am. The color of my world.
Starting with watercolor classes at a park district in Bolingbrook, I learned from artist Bea Giordano. Then at Northeastern Illinois University I earned a BA in Studio Art and a second Major in Art Education. After teaching for 5 years, I opened my business.

My paintings are water based paints. Water color on paper and acrylic on canvas often like watercolor. Sometimes watercolor on special canvas for watercolor, then a layer of acrylic spray to protect the painting. About ten years ago I included beach glass jewelry and art with found beach glass from Lake Michigan.
